In 2018, Emmanuel Jaclot asked his future boss a pointed question in his own job interview: how was La Caisse’s then year-old climate-action strategy progressing? “It’s coming,” came the answer. Eight years later, and with a fresh $400 billion injection, the Quebec pension giant’s head of infrastructure and sustainability is turning the fund into one of the world’s most progressive climate investors.
