FBI halted cooperation with RCMP after CBC 9/11 terrorism memo, New York Times reports

Scott Stinson: Doug Ford says he’s not endorsing Olivia Chow for mayor, and if it sounds like he did, he’s taking it back

Article content

On Wednesday, when asked for his thoughts on the Toronto mayoral race, the Ontario premier responded, “We’re going to continue supporting the mayor. She’s doing an incredible job. John Ivison: Repairing Trudeau’s salmon-industry sabotage is next on Carney’s agenda

Article content

The subject of farmed salmon will be high on the agenda when Norway’s prime minister meets with Mark Carney in Ottawa next week, Ivison says. The problem is an “extremely dubious” ban on open net salmon farms enacted by former PM Justin Trudeau, which “was a death sentence for an industry that employs thousands of people” and that Norwegian companies have made significant investments in. “The existing plan is a staggering level of economic self-sabotage, and it should be reversed,” Ivison states.

Michael Higgins: Mark Carney’s EU adventure isn’t about Canadians

Article content

“Any new romance is an exciting and thrilling time, especially if you’ve just broken up with a long-term partner. But if Canada and the EU are going to get into bed together is it asking too much to simply and clearly tell Canadians what’s the plan and define the relationship?” Higgins asks.
