You have been taught that there are two economic systems. One is the neo-liberal finance capitalism of Milton Friedman and Friedrich Hayek. The other is Communism. You are supposed to pick one. Barbara shows that both have served as tools of the same imperial project — run out of London — to keep sovereign nations poor, divided, and controlled.

There is a third system, and it is the one the Empire fears most.

It is the American System of Alexander Hamilton, carried forward by Abraham Lincoln, William McKinley, Franklin Roosevelt, and today Donald Trump. It is the only economic system consistent with the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and the Genesis command to be fruitful, multiply, and have dominion. It measures wealth by human productivity and progress, not by money.

Barbara documents how the British Empire has fought that system for 250 years. Its methods include Jacobin mobs and color revolutions. They include control of finance, intelligence, foreign policy, and education and culture. They also include assassination: Lincoln, Garfield, McKinley, and Kennedy — and now two attempts on the life of President Trump.

Today’s Democratic Socialists of America are the front line of that operation. Their lineage runs from Michael Harrington and the Socialist International through the New Left to the Gramsci and Lukács school of Western Marxism. They march under Cuban and Hamas flags. Their stated aim is the eradication of Western civilization.
